The trail travels up a tributary creek and goes through various types of forest settings and vegetation. Wildlife enthusiasts might be surprised by the presence of various species of animals along the way and the bird watching is not half bad either.
The Stuart Lake Recreation Complex is equipped with restroom facilities, trash receptacles, water, picnic areas and barbeque pits, swimming, fishing, camping, an open air amphitheater, group picnic shelter and the Stuart Nature Trail and the Glenn Emery hiking and biking trail.
