Kincaid Lake West Boat Launch Area

A modern paved boat launch area inside the Kincaid Lake Recreation Complex on the Evangeline Unit in the Calcasieu Ranger District. Kincaid Lake, a 2,600 acre reservoir, provides the setting for this attractive development. Kincaid Recreation Area provides a wide range of outdoor opportunities including camping, swimming, picnicking, boating, water skiing, fishing, hiking, and bicycling.

The Kincaid Lake West Boat Launch is a modern paved boat launch area inside the Kincaid Lake Recreation Complex on the Evangeline Unit in the Calcasieu Ranger District. Kincaid Lake, a 2,600 acre reservoir, provides the setting for this attractive development. Also at this facility is the Lakeshore Trail access which connects to the Wild Azalea Trail, the Lamotte Creek Trail, and the Wild Azalea Spur Trail.

Facilities: The West Boat Launch Area has a paved boat launch, paved extended parking spaces, vault-type toilets and a floating boat dock area located near the paved ramp.

Fishing, waterskiing, hiking and biking are all available activities from the West Boat Launch Area. Fishing and boating rules are covered under the Louisiana fishing regulations and the Louisiana boating laws.

From Alexandria, drive west on Louisiana Highway 28 for 13 miles to Louisiana Highway 121. Turn left (south) on LA 121 and go 1/2 mile to Valentine Lake Road (Forest Road 279) and turn left. Go five miles to Forest Road 205 and turn left. Go 2 miles to the boat launch road which is just before the entrance pay station to Kincaid Lake Recreation Area.
