Custis Camp

A Primitive camp inside the National Red Dirt Wildlife Management Preserve.

The Custis Camp is a primitive camping area within the National Red Dirt Wildlife Management Preserve. This camp is a designated Hunter camp.

to Custis Camp can enjoy an out-of-the-way camping area within the National Red Dirt Wildlife Management Preserve. Although this camp is a designated hunter's camp, it can be utilized year around by general forest visitors. Very primitive site with limited facilities.

From the intersection of I-49 and Highway 6 (Natchitoches), drive west on Hwy 6 for 4 miles. Turn left (south) on Louisiana Hwy 117 and proceed 16 miles to Forest Highway 59, Longleaf Trail Scenic Byway. Turn left (east) on FH 59 and go 2.4 miles to FR 341. Turn left (north-west) on FR 341 and go 0.6 mile to the camp.
